Notre Certificat de Reconnaissance
We are proud of you and what you do for your program. To honor your efforts, AATF of KY recognizes achievements each January in three categories: courses/enrollment, extra-curricular opportunities, and teacher accomplishments. Programs earn a 3, 2, or 1 star rating, a beautiful certificate to display at your school, a letter sent to administration, and a listing on the AATF of KY website. In addition, overall Gold winners in each categories will be recognized at the annual September meeting.
More information coming soon.
What have you done to advocate your program?
-Look into Dual Credit course for French. Will your county/school accept this and can you teach it?
-Collaborate with an elementary school; take your high school students to do a cultural or mini-
teach. Elementary students will remember this "fun" experience and you just created potential future students!
-Order advocacy materials from National AATF, give them to your school counselor for incoming students and just
maybe he/she will pick it up and read it.
-Create traditions in your classes that students "talk" about, remember, or brag about to their non-French speaking
peers.
-Student awards for AP French students (ex. Le prochain Président de France, Le plus silent...)
-Dr. Seuss read day, French III students read to level I students.
-Sorbet taste testing last week of school
-Annual field trip, mon favori- Le Biltmore (Did you know this castle is inspired by 3 French castles, is filled
with French furniture, relics, and artwork and has French style gardens).
